On vehicles from vehicle ident. end number 007877 up to vehicle ident. end number 011176 the retaining clamps of the drip rail cannot be fastened to the A-pillar in the correct position.
In order to permit a correct fit installation of the drip rail, the mounting slots (a) for the retaining clamps in the drip rail have been reworked.
For replacement part affected, see Parts ordering note table.
The mounting slots (a) for the retaining clamps in the drip rail have been enlarged by countersinkings (b) of 5...6 mm in both directions.
When replacing a drip rail on these vehicles rework of the new drip rail should likewise be carried out before assembly.
