We would like to notify you that new software (8056) is available for the smart radio multimedia navigator (A40/3).

On 06.04.2019, a GPS week number rollover (WNRO) will take place worldwide for the GPS time signal.

As the smart radio multimedia navigator (A40/3) is always supplied with the current time signal from the GPS, the navigator may no longer be able to process the time signal correctly after 06.04.2019.

This could result in e.g. the absence of the system time and implausible arrival times in the navigation system.

Customer software update:

A special software update has been developed, which customers can install themselves, and with which the customer's data and settings will be preserved.

Customers are being informed accordingly.

Further information about this can be found on the smart website:

http://www.smart.com/GPS

In case a customer does not wish to perform the software update himself, he can have the software update installed at the workshop.

Dealer software:

As a dealer, you will continue to have access to the dealer software in the XENTRY Portal.

With this, as previously, the customer data is erased and the device is reset to the manufacturer default settings.

See also GI82.70-P-065659 or the corresponding LI.

With software release 8056, SCN coding is not necessary.

Procedure/cost settlement:

You can choose whether to use the dealer software or in this case the customer software update to bring the system up to date.

In both cases, use the special damage code "5461H 01" and the operation item G 02 2829 0 (2AW) for invoicing.
