Switch on COMAND

No CD/DVD in COMAND drive.

Simultaneously press buttons 1, 3 and 8

After the "Insert service CD" request on the display

Once the service CD has been inserted, the update occurs automatically.

When the update process is finished, the COMAND system reboots itself.

Ignore the "Disc Error" message.

The "Disc Error" message only appears because when the COMAND system automatically reboots (activates), it is no longer in update mode and thus cannot read the information on the service CD.
