We would like to inform you that the Freshmap time period for the Garmin® MAP PILOT SD card has changed. The non-recurrent free of charge map update can be conducted as from software release E53.0 I 54.12 I 17/29.00 or E73.2 I 40.60 I 17/41.00 immediately after authorization of the SD card in the vehicle. It is no longer necessary for the vehicle to have a kilometer reading greater than 200 km (124.2 miles). The Freshmap time period still ends 60 days after the first 200 kilometers driven in total.

Note:

The following applies for SD cards initially shipped with a software release before E53.0 I 54.12 I 17/29.00 or E73.2 I 40.60 I 17/41.00:

1 SD card authorized in vehicle.

2 Update software with the Download Manager.

3 Insert SD card into vehicle and start navigation.

4 Update map data using the Download Manager.

The map data can only be updated if the Download Manager contains newer map data than the data already on the SD card.
