Due to market request, the latching forces at the lower hinges of the rear-end doors have been significantly increased.
On vehicles in which the old version of the hinges is still installed (model 907/910.### ## up to 176193) and the customer complains about reduced latching forces, the hinges can be replaced with the new version (see AR72.20-D-2651TS).
The new hinges are documented in XENTRY parts information. Part numbers are available in the parts ordering note listed below.
In some cases, in which an additional mechanical engagement is required in the 90 degree door position, a door check can be retrofitted instead of the new hinges (see AZ72.20-D-0004TS).
There will not be cost acceptance for vehicles (model 907/910.### ## as of 176194) which already have hinges with increased latching force and which are, nevertheless, to be equipped with a mechanical door check.
Any costs incurred for this are to be borne by the customer.
Damage code 72800 01 can be used for vehicles of model 907/910.### ## up to 176193.
