 Due to recent events we would like to provide you with the following information about the installation of Mercedes-Benz Genuine Accessories.

Retrofit hardtop (AN60.30-S-0008P) - General

Before disconnecting the electrical connectors and electric lines, the ground line for the on-board electrical system battery must be removed (see AR54.10-S-0003P).

Retrofit hardtop (AN60.30-S-0008P) - Installation of electrical wiring harness interruption for additional brake lamp (2)

 The electrical wiring harness interruption for the additional brake lamp (2) must always be installed on the right side of the vehicle (see AN60.30-S-0008-03P).
Otherwise, electronic component parts will suffer malfunctions and damage.

Retrofit hardtop (AN60.30-S-0008P) - Installation of hardtop electrical wiring harness (1)

The hardtop electrical wiring harness (1) must always be installed on the left side of vehicle (see AN60.30-S-0008-03P).

Retrofit hardtop (AN60.30-S-0008P) - Commissioning electronic component parts

To commission the hardtop electronic component parts, all the vehicle doors and windows must be closed. The vehicle must then be locked and unlocked using the transmitter key.

Retrofit seal (3) on dropside (4) (AN60.30-S-0007P)
The seal (3) on the dropside (4) must be installed in accordance with the existing documentation (see AN60.30-S-0007P).
To do so, align and mount seal (3) evenly at edge (arrow A). Then close dropside (4) and check whether seal (3) makes contact with the platform frame and that it seals correctly. Press on the seal (3) only it seals correctly.

The repair materials listed in the documents for installation of Mercedes-Benz Genuine Accessories are not included in the scope of delivery for the Mercedes-Benz Genuine Accessories Sets and therefore it has to be ordered separately.

Retrofit platform inlay (AN60.30-S-0001P) - Butyl cord

The butyl cord listed below must be used when retrofitting platform inlay (AN60.30-S-0001P). The affected documents (AN60.30-S-0001P and AN60.30-S-0001-03P) will be revised promptly. The butyl cord listed below can be ordered through the replacement parts aftermarket.
