Due to recent events we would like to notify you of a modification to the extraction and insertion tool
639 589 04 43 00.
The special tool is required for model 906, to deal with all the removals/installations of rubber mounts on the front axle transmission suspension. The flat rates and WIS documentation are published with release 11/2010.
Modification options for the above-mentioned special tool:
On model 906 all-wheel drive, the special tool
639 589 04 43 00 extraction and insertion tool for model 639 with a modification to the insertion sleeve
639 589 04 43 02 (insertion sleeve dimensions) can still be used for both models.
When processing the insertion sleeve 639 589 04 43 02 (1) the corrosion protection specified for it must always be applied to it.
Order for insertion sleeve 639 589 04 43 08 special tool through the GLC.
Please note: Availability guaranteed as of February 2011.
As of November 2010 (manufacture date 11/2010) all extraction and insertion tools 639 589 04 43 00 with the modification to the insertion sleeve shall be available at the GLC.
