In this Service Information bulletin, we would like to inform you that due to the previously entered rolling circumference of the mounted tires the digital tachograph (DTCO) is always accurate with respect to speed and total distance.

Both the displayed speed and the displayed total distance are determined in the instrument cluster depending on, among other things, the combination of coded characteristic and installed tire dimension (e.g.: code R21 (Wheel size group 1) or code R22 (Wheel size group 2)) and can vary from 0 % to the maximum legally permissible deviation.
Comparison of figures for speed and total distance between the instrument cluster and digital tachograph (DTCO) does not take place. As a result, these figures can deviate between the instrument cluster and digital tachograph (DTCO) and are therefore no reason for complaint. Diagnostic or repair work in this regard is not permissible.
