To ensure that the digital tachograph functions properly, the backup battery must be replaced in the following instances:
During each regular re-inspection.
During an installation check, activation or initial calibration, if the manufacture date of the device is older than 12 months.
The buffer battery has been added as a replacement part and can be ordered under the order number: A 002 982 13 08.
When the buffer battery is replaced, the vehicle-side power supply must always remain connected to the digital tachograph.
It will otherwise no longer be possible to put the device into operation.
For this work the operation no. 00 7522 with corresponding work units has been created.
This work must not be invoiced through warranty and goodwill.
