Service information: Changing wheels/tires

 Because of some current publication in the media some uncertainty has obviously arisen regarding the topic of wheel replacement.

With the currently available car model series, it is not necessary to retighten the wheel bolts after a specific mileage if wheel replacement, removal and fitting was conducted as per the MB-specific regulations:

 Cleaning of wheel attachment and brake disk side (see AP40.10-P-4050-01A)

 wheel bolts and rims have been checked and found to be OK (see AP40.10-P-4050-01A)

 Tighten wheel bolts to specified tightening torque.
