 If the differential is leaking, the following must be taken into consideration before the radial shaft sealing ring or the drive pinion sealing ring is replaced:

 Check the breather of the differential housing for leaks.

It is possible that fluid is running from the breather down to the differential, giving the impression that the sealing rings are leaking.

Do not damage the sealing rings when installing the rear axle shaft.
