When evaluating leakages at the seals and radial shaft sealing rings, and at the vent of the countershaft brake on the transmission, it is customary today to use the terms "leaktight, leaking slightly and leaking heavily". As these assessments are not defined, difficulties of interpretation and communication can occur.

For these reasons we have produced the document "General information on the evaluation of leakage at the transmission" (AH26.00-N-0002-01A). This general information is intended to assist with the assessment of leaks.
