The Mercedes-Benz Trucks division successfully renewed all A model series by fall 2013. The new products have been launched with a high level of series-production quality. All Classic model series will continue to be marketed for export outside Europe with the usual high degree of product maturity.
To ensure sustainable continuity of profitability and of the Trucks business unit of Mercedes-Benz and under consideration of current rival products, it was necessary to assess in detail and adapt the range of standard equipment for all vehicle model series. For this reason, some standard equipment packages have been discontinued or in some cases can now only be ordered as special equipment.
The sales organization advised of the relevant details via IMPORTANT 47/2013 on 17.09.2013.
New modification scopes are communicated by the order processing center at the Wörth plant to the sales organization through the “Truck Sales News”.
Please contact your colleagues in Sales to ensure that you always receive the latest documents; for our part, we will not be updating SI00.10-W-0028B in future.
In the event of complaints, always check first whether the “missing” part has been discontinued at the factory or whether it is now only available as special equipment.
Please note that the deleted/modified scopes must not be retrofitted under warranty, but must be billed to the customer.
