Service Information: Vehicle identification plate orders

When ordering the identification plate, the following information should be noted:
To ensure that orders for vehicle identification plates can run through the automatic process steps correctly, the relevant vehicle data must be checked in VeDoc before each order is placed, in order to make sure that the data is up-to-date and, in the event of any deviations, the data must be updated, supplemented or corrected. This is to be performed on the basis of the country-specific vehicle documents or the COC papers for the corresponding vehicle.
If structural modifications have been made to the vehicle which affect data relevant to the vehicle identification plate, this data must be adapted accordingly in VeDoc (identification plate data).

 The responsibility for ordering and delivery of vehicle identification plates printed at the factory lies with the ordering party.

If no modification authorization for VeDoc exists, the responsible national representative (ELC, MPC, etc.) should be contacted. The national representative can then authorize the necessary modifications or updates before the order is placed. Please address any queries regarding changes to documentation to the VeDoc Hotline:

Once all the required data has been correctly entered in the system, the order can be initiated in accordance with the specifications of the country-specific procedural instruction for theft-relevant parts and their process through the ordering systems monitored. The documentation and archive of the documents are conducted as per the procedural instruction.

 The respective part number for the vehicle identification plate is documented in the EPC.

 Model 453.0
For model 453.0 a special ordering process applies. Here, the order form for identification plate on the windshield (OF67.10-P-3000-01A) is to be used.
