Due to recent events, we would like to inform you that the vehicle must be equipped with CODE ED5 (Parameterizable special module) in the case of retrofitted components that are not approved by Mercedes­Benz and that require a speed signal.

In the case of retrofitted components, pick up the speed signal at the parameterizable special module only.
Pickup of the speed signal at a different point in the vehicle electronics is not permissible.
Malfunctions can otherwise occur on the vehicle.

The Service Information bulletin "Exclusion of liability for third-party retrofits" must be taken into consideration (see SI00.00-D-0025DJ).
