Rear SOS pushbutton switch
P82.95-2625-06
N72/2s19 Rear SOS pushbutton switch
Location
The rear SOS pushbutton switch is integrated into the RCP [HBF] control unit (N72/2).
Task
Basically the rear SOS pushbutton switch has the following tasks:
Actuation of a manual Telematic Alarm Identification on Demand (emergency call system ) (TELE AID) emergency call
Visual feedback signal of the TELE AID operating condition in the event of a manual as well as automatic emergency call
Design
Basically the rear SOS pushbutton switch is designed as follows:
Integrated light emitting diodes for night illumination (circuit 58d) and for display of operating condition
Cap for protecting against unintentional actuation
A control resistor in parallel to the switch contact
Function
In the park position, an electrical current flows over the control resistor (parallel to the switch contact) in the rear SOS pushbutton switch. When current is flowing through the resistor, the emergency call system control unit (N123/4) knows that the voltage supply line and the ground line are functioning properly. When the rear SOS pushbutton switch is actuated, the control resistor is bridged by the switch contact. The rear SOS pushbutton switch is read in by the emergency call system control unit over a discreet line. When the rear SOS button is pressed, a manual emergency call is recognized by the emergency call system control unit and then transmitted.
