GF82.60-S-2002S | CD-player mode, function | 25.7.06 |
MODEL 639.601 /603 /605 /701 /703 /705 /711 /713 /811 /813 /815 up to 31.3.06 with CODE (EN4) Auto pilot system with TMC interface, large display
The COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) is equipped with an integrated CD drive for loading navigation data and playing audio CDs.
Because of the large volume of data that is needed to display the map, it is not possible to play an audio CD during navigation mode. The navigation CD must be in the integrated CD drive.
CD changer operation, with code (EP5) CD changer
The CD player with changer (A2/6) is controlled by the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3). The control signals to the CD player with changer (A2/6) and the audio data from the CD player with changer (A2/6) are transmitted via the Digital Data Bus (D2B).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Only original CDs can be inserted into the CD player with changer (A2/6). CD adapters may not be used.
The COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) provides the following functions in combination with the CD player with changer (A2/6):
"Scan" function
The title of a CD or the first title of the CDs of the entire magazine are played for 8 seconds. After running through the CD completely, the "Scan" function is automatically terminated.
"Random" function
All the titles on a CD or the entire CD magazine are played in accordance with the random principle.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Repeat" function
Alternatively a title, a CD or the entire CD magazine is repeated.
Fast forward or reverse (music search)
The music played is audible during fast forward or reverse. This enables certain sections of a track to be played or skipped.
CD title allocation, function
Each CD includes a permanently stored table of contents (TOC record). The COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) clearly recognizes the particular CD on the basis of this entry and is able to automatically name it after the one-time allocation of the title by the user (even if the CD is subsequently inserted into another CD magazine).
The permanently stored table of contents (TOC entry) also contains information about the number of tracks on a CD and the total playing time of a CD.
