The Audio 30 APSCD mode can be activated by pressing the "AUDIO" button on the radio and navigation module (Audio 30 APS) (A2/56).

The CD drive also serves for loading data for the navigation system. For this purpose, it is necessary to insert a special navigation CD.

The CD player integrated into the A2/56 module offers the following audio functions:

Fast forward/reverse (music search)
The music can be heard during fast forward/reverse. Certain parts of a title can therefore be specifically played or skipped.

Random function
All titles on a CD are played according to the random principle.

Scan function
Each title on a CD is played for 8 s. After running through all the titles, the scan function is terminated automatically.

Repeat function
The title currently being played is repeated.

Display of number and playing time expired of current title, display of total playing time and number of titles on CD.

Every CD has a permanently stored, so-called Table of Contents (TOC) entry. The TOC entry contains information such as the number of titles on a CD and the total playing time of the CD.

CD playback is automatically interrupted by the following functions (pause function):

Traffic announcements and public warning messages from the Radio Data System (PTY 31 messages)

Incoming telephone calls

CD playback is continued at the point at which it was interrupted - none of the music in a title is skipped during the pause function.

The CD playback volume is only reduced during navigation system voice output.
