Function requirement:

 Circuit 15 R: ON or

 circuit 15: ON

 Combination switch (S4) in position"(Intermittent wiping)

Function sequence

1 The function intermittent wiping is switched on by turning the combination switch (S4) to position "1"

2 The position "1" of the combination switch (S4) is read in by the rain sensor control module (N120) and rain sensor (B38) is activated.

3 The rain sensor (B38) actuates the interval pauses depending on the quantity of moisture on the windshield.

The corresponding signals are transmitted to the rain sensor control module (N120) .

4 Then the rain sensor control module (N120) actuates the wiper motor (M6/1) .

 The rain sensor function is interrupted if another wiper function is actuated by the combination switch (S4).

 The rain sensor function is only available for the windshield wiper system.
