Actuate interior lighting switch, function

Each actuation of the dome lamp switch (E15s1) - if equipped - or switch for dome lamp with reading lamp, front (E15s4) induces a change between the states "lamp ON" and "lamp OFF". In doing so the front interior lights are switched on and off "hard" (undimmed). The status is stored in the SAM control unit (N10). The lamps are actuated irrespective of the position of the transmitter key.

If the dome lamp with switch, front (E15/1) or dome lamp with reading lamp, front (E15) (with code (L00) Driver and passenger-side dome lamps) is installed, and the interior lights are switched on manually, they cannot be switched off automatically.

For an installed overhead control panel control unit (N70) (with code (LD0) Overhead control panel with reading lamp for driver and front passenger) when the dome lamp switch (N70s2) is actuated, the interior lights are switched on dimmed. If the dome lamp, front (N70e1) remains switched on, it switches off again automatically and dimmed after t = 20 min.
