The anti-theft alarm (ATA) is activated (armed) by:

 Centrally locking the vehicles with the remote control key (1) via the drive authorization system control module (DAS) with radio remote control for central locking (N54/3),

 Self-arming of ATA

Self-arming

Function prerequisites:

 Ignition (circuit 15): OFF,

 anti-theft alarm (ATA) not armed,

 at least one door is open.

1 All doors are closed

2 After expiration of a programmed time period the anti-theft alarm (ATA) arms itself.

Arming by centrally locking

Function prerequisites:

 Ignition (circuit 15): OFF,

 anti-theft alarm (ATA) not armed,

1 The vehicle is locked centrally with the remote control
key (1).

2 The instrument cluster (A1) transmits a signal to the ATA/anti-towing sensor/interior motion sensor control module (N26/6).

3 The anti-theft alarm is armed.



When the anti-theft alarm (ATA) is armed the LED on the ATA interior motion sensor/anti-towing sensor/

status indicator switch (S6/2s7) flashes.
