Function

The locator lighting serves to illuminate the area surrounding the vehicle when unlocking.

Function requirements:

 Locator lighting activated via instrument cluster (A1)

 Rain/light sensor (B38/2) signals "Darkness"

 Rotary light switch (S1) in "AUTO" position (with and )

Function sequence

When the vehicle is unlocked (not with Keyless Go (with code (889) Keyless Go)) the locator finding function is activated for approx. t = 40 s.

The following lamps are activated via the locator finding function:

 Left standing and parking lamp (E6/13)

 Right standing and parking lamp (E6/14)

 Left front fog lamp (E5/1)

 Right fog lamp (E5/2)

 Left front side-marker lamp  (E6/1)

Function abort

The function is interrupted by opening the drive door or by circuit 15C ON.
