Purpose

In combination with the driver and passenger airbags and emergency tensioning retractors the coverings increase the safety for medium and severe accidents.

Design

The energy absorbing coverings consist of a sheet metal panel with hard foam filling. The visible surface of the sheet metal panels is covered with a plastic covering.
A foam insert in the plastic covering makes the surface resilient.
