The PTS control unit (N62) immediately carries out a self-test with "circuit 15R ON".

All the light emitting diodes (LED) in the center front Parktronic warning indicator (A44/9), left front Parktronic warning indicator (A44/7) and right front Parktronic warning indicator (A44/8) are activated for one second.

If there are neither system faults present nor obstacles in front of the vehicle, the readiness of the Parktronic System (PTS) is displayed by the respective outermost light-emitting diodes with reduced luminosity.

As a result a correct function of the system is confirmed visually. If the system is operating correctly, it changes into measuring mode.
