Task | To transmit the steering movement from the steering wheel to the wheels. Assists the manual turning force and thus makes it easier to steer the vehicle
Design | Principle of recirculating ball steering. The ball circulation is integrated into the one-piece power piston. The primary shaft runs inside the hollow steering worm and is supported at the top in the bearing insert as well as in the adaptation area for control system in the steering worm. On the one hand the steering worm itself is guided axially via a bearing collar with thrust bearings and spherical washers on both sides, while on the other hand it is located radially as a result of the ball circulation.
