Operation
When turning the steering wheel clockwise, the work cylinder piston is displaced to the right.
As the movement of the piston shall be assisted by oil under pressure, this shall be conducted to the left side of the cylinder.
The three control grooves are displaced clockwise and the intakes (10) remain open to the pressurized oil flow.
The inlet openings (9) close, however, blocking the flow of oil under pressure to the axial grooves (14) of the control bushing.
With the rotating valve in this position, the pressurized oil flows through the intake openings (10) to the lower radial groove (13) of the command bushing, from there reaching the left cylinder, thus producing the hydraulic help. The intake openings (9) prevent the oil from spilling to the canister.
The oil is forced out by the right side of the cylinder.
Through the return slots (12) it flows towards the return grooves (15) of the rotating valve.
Through the central hole of the rotating valve, the oil is released to the canister.
The right stroke limiting valve will remain shut until being actuated by the right adjusting screw, slightly before the piston reaches its final position.
