Location

The fore/aft adjustment motor and height adjustment up/down motor are located on the steering column itself.

Task

The motors permit the steering column to be adjusted in height and longitude using the spindle and shaft drive.

To record the position they are equipped with integrated Hall sensors.

Actuation and position detection is performed by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1).
