Operation

The compressed air coming from the pressure generator (DE) is stored by the reservoirs (5.01) which besides storage has the function of condensing the water present in the air.

Water drainage is carried out periodically whenever operating the manual drain valve (6.01) which is incorporated in the reservoir (5.01). Its operation is important as it eliminates water condensate in the compressed air reservoir (5.01) preventing brake system components damage, as corrosion for instance.

After stored, the compressed air is consumed from the air reservoir (5.01) by the several brake system pneumatic circuits.
