Operation
As the air is compressed by the compressor (1.01), it flows to the air tank to the air cleaner (6.13), which has a pressure regulating valve integrated .
After the filtering, followed by the adjustment of the pneumatic pressure of the compressed air, the pressure regulating valve integrated to the air cleaner (6.13) sends the air to the compressed air tank (5.01) as well as to the four-circuit valve (4.03).
The compressed air tank (5.01) stores the stores the air and uses it to clean the APU valve filter (6.13).
The four-circuit protective valve (4.03) supplies compressed air to the various pneumatic circuits of the brake system (service brake, parking brake, auxiliary circuits etc). It also guarantees a minimum pressure for each of the circuits.
