Operation
When compressed by the compressor (1.01), the air flows to the pressure regulating valve (2.01) and to the automatic draining valve (6.02) of the humid air reservoir (5.01).
After the pneumatic pressure adjustment has been carried out by the pressure regulating valve (2.01), the compressed air goes to the moist air reservoir (5.01) which condenses the existing water. When the water condensation is done, the compressed air flows to the check valve (8.02) which releases the air passage to the 4-circuit protective valve (4.03), without allowing it to return and keeping the circuit filled up on only in the connection 2 in order to avoid problems in case of leakage.
The four-circuit protective valve (4.03) supplies compressed air to the various pneumatic circuits of the brake system (service brake, parking brake, auxiliary circuits etc). As well as ensuring minimum pressure in each one of the circuits.
