1) On vehicles with 120 kW and higher, electronically limit the maximum permissible speed to 190 km/h and attach a corresponding adhesive label in the driver's field of view.

2) On vehicles with 140 kW and higher, electronically limit the maximum permissible speed to 210 km/h and attach a corresponding adhesive label in the driver's field of view.

3) On model 447.8 with 176 kW (with code MU8 (OM 654 DE 20 LA 176 kW (239 hp) 3800 rpm)), it is recommended to electronically limit the maximum permissible speed to 220 km/h if a "V tire" is used. In accordance with the European tire standard ("ETRTO"), a "V tire" may only be operated above 210 km/h with reduced load (wheel load). At speeds above 220 km/h, the defined load specifications of the "V tire" are exceeded.

4) 16" tires are also possible to a limited extent on vehicles with 140 kW up to a permissible gross vehicle weight of 2.8 t if the code conditions under index  5) do not apply.

As from March 2015, 16" tires can also be fitted to vehicles with 140 kW including for a permissible gross vehicle weight of up to 3.05 t. This only applies however, if at the same time the speed is limited at the factory to 160 km/h (with code MK9 (Speed limit 160 km/h)) . Apart from this, the code conditions under index  5) must not be applicable.

5) 16" tires are not possible on the following vehicles:

With all-wheel drive (with code ZG2 (Permanent all-wheel drive))

With 3.2 t permissible gross vehicle weight (with code XA5 (Weight variant 3,200 kg))

With the "Mercedes-Benz" brake caliper labeling (with code BS1 (Brake calipers with "Mercedes-Benz" lettering))

With 140 kW, apart from the exceptions listed under index  4).

If there is no precise code information available for the vehicle, it is advisable to measure the diameter of the front-axle brake disks: 16" tires are only possible on vehicles with a front-axle diameter of brake disk of max. 300 mm. With a diameter of 330 mm, only 17", 18" or 19" tires may be used.

6) "XL = Extra Load" corresponds to the designation "RF = reinforced" (do not confuse with Run-Flat tires, that are not recommended for model 447).

7) Snow chains are only possible on front-wheel-drive vehicles on front wheels up to size 205/65 R 16C.

17" tires on front-wheel-drive vehicles are not snow chain compatible. On rear wheel drive and four wheel drive vehicles, snow chains may only be used on the rear axle.

8) Not permissible for taxis, courier vehicles and rental cars because they are outside the legally prescribed tolerance for the odometer.

9) The maximum rear axle load of 1650 kg in combination with a permissible gross vehicle weight of 3.2 t is only possible on model 447.8, not on model 447.6/7.

10) Speed rating "W" or "V" possible; however, on vehicles that were produced after March 2016, do not use the tire pressure values on the on-board tire pressure table but instead use the higher tire pressures given in the owner's manual for "W tires".

Generally, this size of winter tire can also be used. It is, however, essential to note that the tire dimension 245/45 R 19XL is not compatible with snow chains! This could cause problems in certain countries or on mountainous routes with mandatory snow-chain usage.

11) Due to frequent queries, we would once again like to make the following explicitly clear: Owing to the expected application area for model 447.6/7 with N1 approval up to 3.05 t, 19" tires are not approved by Mercedes-Benz.

12) The additional single-point service description "106N" is only a mandatory requirement in combination with the eVito. For all other approved variants with combustion engine (up to max. 3100 kg permissible gross vehicle weight), the "104/102H" service description is decisive and perfectly adequate.

13) Snow chains cannot be used on eVito.
