Function
Saving the frame height
1 Basic condition:
Vehicle is stationary
NR/ENR operating unit (S50) activated.
The raise/lower rear indicator lamp (2) lights up and the raise/lower front indicator lamp (1) also lights up if the vehicle is equipped with full air suspension.
2 The vehicle frame is raised or lowered when the driver presses the raise or lower key (8 or 9). The "vehicle above or below normal level" indicator (11.1 or 11.2) lights up in the NR/ENR display field (11).
3 The control unit (A14.1/A14.2) actuates the NR/ENR valve block (Y27/Y28) at the driven axle and the NR/ENR solenoid valve (Y26) at the front axle of vehicles with full air suspension and the air bellows are pressurized or vented.
4 The vehicle frame and therefore the cargo area is set to the desired height for example of a loading ramp where the vehicle will be loaded or unloaded frequently in the future.
5 If the driver presses the stop key (10) and frame height M1 or M2 key (5 or 6) simultaneously, the frame height is saved.
A vehicle height can only be saved when the vehicle is stationary. The driver must always press the stop key first, hold this key down and then press either the frame height M1 or M2 key. The saved frame heights can only be displayed when the vehicle speed is < 30 km/h.
