Task
The coolant circulation pump is electrically driven and makes the coolant circulate in the respective high- or low-temperature circuit.
A coolant circulation pump can be used in the following coolant circuits:
Low-temperature circuit of transmission cooling
Low-temperature circuit of charge air cooling
Heating high temperature circuit
Function
The coolant circulation pump, depending on the intended purpose, is actuated by the powertrain control unit or the body/powertrain central control unit. The delivery rate of the coolant circulation pump, depending on the intended purpose, is regulated under evaluation of the following signals:
High temperature circuit coolant temperature
Low-temperature circuit of coolant temperature
Engine oil temperature
Transmission oil temperature
Heater request
Engine speed
Engine torque
