General

The low temperature coolant circuit temperature sensor records the coolant temperature in the respective low-temperature circuit and issues a corresponding signal to the powertrain control unit.

Function

The NTC resistor installed in the temperature sensor changes its electrical resistance according to the temperature. The powertrain control unit applies a sensor voltage of 5 V and evaluates the signal current that corresponds to the coolant temperature.
