8 Dispenser

9 SCR (17Y03) dispensing AdBlue valve

Provision

The SCR (9) dispensing AdBlue valve is installed at the lower part of the dispenser (8) located, approximately, at the last engine head.

Task

The SCR (9) dispensing AdBlue valve is controlled by the engine control module (MR), and provides AdBlue to the injector nozzle injection.

17Y03 SCR dispensing AdBlue valve

The SCR (9) dispensing AdBlue valve is a 2/2 directional valve . Inside it there is the valve body with a solenoid armor.

Function

The SCR (9) dispensing AdBlue valve is actuated by the control module. It actuates the dispensing AdBlue valve (9), depending on the engine operation duty and other influences from the environment.

The AdBlue actuates, with the service pressure generated by the AdBlue pump module, at the dispensing AdBlue valve (9), normally closed. The pressure of an actuated spring prevents AdBlue flow from the input (13) and output (14).

When a current is applied to the valve solenoid, it releases AdBlue flow. When the current is interrupted, the spring pushes the valve back to its initial position, preventing flow again.
