Starter ring gear speed sensor position / task / function

S14.20-0507-01

Location

In the oil pan

Task

To register the number of revolutions of the engine

Structure

The starter ring gear speed sensor (B72) is comprised of a permanent magnet with polar pin surrounding by a coil

Function
