The boost pressure sensor is located on the charge air manifold.

The boost pressure sensor measures the absolute pressure in the intake manifold and sends a signal to the CDI control unit.

Boost pressure sensor, function

The intake manifold pressure causes distortion of a diaphragm, which acts on a piezoresistor. This causes a change in the resistance of the piezoresistor, and therefore in the output voltage, which is then used as information about the intake manifold pressure and sent to the CDI control unit.
