DFI [EVE] smooth engine control function

The DFI [EVE] control module (N3/8) receives an engine speed signal from the crankshaft position sensor (L5/6) and detects engine speed irregularities. These irregularities in engine speed are rectified by controlling the quantity of fuel injected at the specific cylinders. Idle speed thus remains constant. The smooth engine control function ceases to operate when the ABS/ETS control module delivers a vehicle speed signal
