Task

The intake air temperature sensor supplies information regarding the current intake air temperature to the EDS control module (A56).

This information is required for controlling the exhaust gas recirculation system.

Design

The intake air temperature sensor is designed as an NTC resistor, in other words its resistance becomes less as the temperature rises.
