Crankshaft as-built configuration

The crankshaft is forged and mounted in seven bearings.

The crankshaft journals of the conrods arranged in pairs, are turned through 22° to enable the same ignition spacing to be used for both banks of cylinders.

The ignition spacing is thus 120°, as is usual on 6-cylinder engines.

The firing order of the cylinders is: 1 - 5 - 3 - 6 - 2 -4
