Auxiliary heater 83.2
Model 140 left-hand drive
The auxiliary heater installed under the right- hand front fender is integrated into the coolant circuit of the engine. It serves not only to heat the passenger compartment, but also to warm up the engine to ensure reliable start-up even at extremely low outside temperatures. The auxiliary heater is switched on and off by means of a timer in the passenger compartment. The timer can be used to preselect the start of heating within the next 24 hours, or up to 7 days in advance. | Observe all licensing regulations. In the Federal Republic of Germany, vehicles retrofitted with the auxiliary heater require renewed official approval. The auxiliary heater must not be operated in sealed rooms without waste air extraction or at filling stations. Untreated body parts, e.g. around drilled holes, must be coated with zinc dust paint. |
