Danger | Risk of explosion and poisoning caused by solvent vapors and gasses. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when working with anticorrosion agents | Never spray corrosion protection on flames or hot, glowing objects and keep them well away from all potential sources of ignition. Use them only in well-ventilated rooms; wear respiratory protection. |
1 | Determine installation position of multifunction antenna (3) at center to vehicle longitudinal axis on non-level surface on the roof. |
The bore hole must be drilled with precision in order to avoid water penetration. |
2 | Using a multi-stage countersink drill bit, drill a hole measuring Ø 20 mm (+0.5/-0.3) at the installation position, while at the same time vacuuming up the drill chips. |
3 | Deburr hole and Apply corrosion protection. |
4 | Detach adhesive foil and insert multifunction antenna (3) from above into hole and align. |
5 | Position the nut for the multifunction antenna (3) and tighten. |
While doing so, have multifunction antenna (3) fixed in place by a helper to prevent twisting of the multifunction antenna (3). |
