Remove cover (1)

 To do so, unclip cover (1) carefully, starting at top, using long wedge. Disconnect electrical connector from cover (1) and remove cover (1).

Remove center footwell cover



Route wiring harness (3) of CD changer (A2/6) retroactively from front passenger seat console to radio

Route wiring harness (3) at air distribution pipe along in footwell. Ensure it is routed without kinks and free of chafing:
This prevents possible noise development and damage.

 Fiber optic cable is included with the wiring harness.

Connect wiring harness (3) at CD changer (A2/6)

Prepare CD changer (A2/6) for retrofit

 Remove information sheet on CD changer (A2/6) and attach dust seals to CD changer (A2/6). Observe instruction on information sheet.

Retrofit CD changer (A2/6) into front passenger seat console

Connect wiring harness (3) of CD changer (A2/6) at radio or COMAND operating, display and controller unit

Install in the reverse order

Activate CD changer (A2/6) retroactively with Star Diagnosis



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

Enter special equipment in FDOK

 The new code designation is code EP5 CD changer.
