Install AMG speaker in instrument panel

 Leave speakers in the original packaging as long as possible. Do not press in or damage speaker membranes. Pressed in or torn speakers are audible in the test.

 Remove series logos (Harman or Becker) from speaker grilles.

Install AMG mirror triangles

 So that the original foam material can be used in the AMG mirror triangles (11), it must be cut off in the area of the plug (see picture 1, dashed area). To do so, place plug on foam material and mark cutting area (12).

Install AMG speakers in rear doors

 Insert diplexers (18), tweeter H4/3h1 and H4/4h1, as shown in picture 1, into door trims and fix in place using felt adhesive tape (17).

Install AMG speakers in rear shelf

 Reinstall rear shelf only after testing the system at the end of the modification work.

Install strut (4) in trunk on right

 Only model 219.3 without code (489) Airmatic (semi-active air suspension).

Run system test

 To do so, connect battery again. All newly installed speakers must be subject to a function or audio test before installing remaining parts.

Install in the reverse sequence

Install AMG amplifier unit trim (5)

 Engage the AMG amplifier unit trim (5) in the upper area and fasten with two expansion anchors (6) (see picture 2).
When installing anchoring hooks (14), make sure that the spacer rings (15) are seated correctly underneath the anchoring hooks (14) (see picture 3).
