Install right front illuminated door sill molding
Installation is described on the right side of the vehicle. Installation at the left-hand side of the vehicle takes place in the same way.
1 | Clean contact surface of right front door sill in the hatched area. |

2 | Remove carrier foil (8) from the right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48). |
Pay attention to guides (9) during subsequent installation. |

3 | Position right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) on longitudinal member and press on evenly. |
4 | Connect black 2-pin connector of electrical line of right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) to black 2-pin connector of branch-off line of right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48). |
Thus, the right front illuminated door sill molding electrical connector (E17/48x1) is created. |
5 | Fasten right front illuminated door sill molding electrical connector (E17/48x1) by means of a retaining clip onto longitudinal member. |
The retaining clip is included in the installation kit. |
6 | Route electrical line of right front illuminated door sill molding (E17/48) via body flange on longitudinal member and fix in place with adhesive tape (10). |

Install right rear illuminated door sill molding
Only perform the following operation steps in MODEL 222.1/9.
7 | Clean contact surface of right rear door sill in the hatched area. |

8 | Remove carrier foil (8) from the right rear illuminated door sill molding (E17/52). |
Pay attention to guides (9) during subsequent installation. |

9 | Connect black 2-pin connector (4) of right rear illuminated door sill molding with the black 2-pin plug (3.4) of right rear illuminated door sill molding branch-off line (3.2). |
10 | Route electrical line of right rear illuminated door sill molding through the body flange on the longitudinal member and fix in place with adhesive tape (11). |
