Remove/install

Disconnect ground line for on-board electrical system battery (G1)

Remove glove box

Connect electrical lines of squibs to airbag

 Check for correct seating.

Remove seat belt

 The removed seat belt must not be handed over to the customer. It has to be kept in the workshop taking the relative nationally-valid safety regulations into account. Alternatively, the removed seat belt has to be scrapped.

Install seat belt with belt force limiters

 Install the relevant seat belt that has been in storage for the vehicle. If this was scrapped for the immobilization a new seat belt has to be installed.

Document deletion of O-code in VeDoc

Conduct SCN coding on airbag control unit

Remove adhesive label (Front passenger airbag deactivated) and adhesive label (Pass. airbag off) and remove insert out of operator's manual.

 The adhesive labels are located at the passenger side dashboard panel at the side and the center console below the hazard warning flasher switch

Attach adhesive label (airbag warning notice) on passenger side instrument panel cover at side

 The adhesive label differs depending on equipment installed.
