Remove/install

Detach ground line of on-board electrical system battery.

Detach ground line from additional battery.

Disconnect ground line of auxiliary battery for park pawl emergency shift mode.

Remove lower cover on instrument panel on front passenger side.

Remove screw (3).

Disconnect electrical connections (4).

Unscrew bolts (2).

 Bolt, front passenger airbag to instrument panel

Unclip front passenger airbag (1) from instrument panel (arrows A) and remove upward.


Use suitable protective base when unclipping.
Otherwise, the instrument panel will be damaged.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Check Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) using vehicle diagnosis system.


