Remove/install

Switch off ignition and remove the transmitter key from the EIS [EZS] control unit

On vehicles with Keyless Go, code 889: Press Keyless Go start/stop button repeatedly until ignition is switched off. Remove transmitter key from vehicle and store it in a location beyond its transmission range (at least 2 m).

Remove driver-side rear seat

Remove rear door sill molding.

Remove cover (1).

Unscrew bolt (2).

Remove cargo retainers (3) and cover (4).

Fold over floor covering until nuts (6) and nuts (8) on intermediate bottom (5) are accessible.

Unscrew nuts (6) and nuts(8) and remove intermediate bottom (5).

Installation: Do not mix up nut (6) and nuts (8).

Installation: Ensure that clip (7) is seated correctly.

Disconnect electrical connector (9).

Unclip HS, seat ventilation and steering wheel heater control unit (N25/7) and remove

Removal: Press in clips (11) to unclip (arrows)

Installation: Insert catch lugs (10) into corresponding guides and clip in clips (11).

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory and erase

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
