Remove/install

Remove seat backrest padding.

Detach cable ties (4).

Installation: Install new cable tie (4).

Unhook lumbar support pneumatic pump (M25/4, M25/5) with protective sleeve from seat backrest frame.


Do not take lumbar support pneumatic pump (M25/4, M25/5) out of its protective sleeve.
Otherwise the lumbar support pneumatic pump (M25/4, M25/5) will be damaged.

Disconnect electrical connection (6).

Detach electrical connector (7).

Unhook lumbar support electropneumatic controller unit (N32/23, N32/24) from spring element (5) and route forward, between seat backrest frame and spring element (5).

Pass lumbar support pneumatic pump (M25/4, M25/5) forwards and between seat backrest frame and spring element (5).

Mark installation position of air cushion unit (3) on spring element (5).

Unhook and remove air cushion unit (3) from spring element (5).

The air cushion unit (3), the lumbar support electropneumatic controller unit (N32/23, N32/24) and the lumbar support pneumatic pump (M25/4, M25/5) are one unit and can only be changed together.

Installation: Observe markings.
