Remove/install

Detach back shell (3) at front seat backrest and set down on seat cushion with attached pneumatic multicontour seat wiring harness

In vehicles with code (409) Left/right front multicontour seats

Detach back shell (3) at front seat backrest and set down on seat cushion with attached seat heater electrical wiring harness

On vehicles with code (873) Seat heater for right and left front seats.

Remove back shell (3) from the front seat backrest

On vehicles without code (409) Left/right front multicontour seats or without code (873) Seat heater for left and right front seats.

Unclip left wire clamp (2.1) from brackets (arrows A1 to A4) of back shell (3)

Observe unclipping sequence.

Remove left wire clamp (2.1) from bracket (arrow B)

Unclip right wire clamp (2.2) from brackets (arrows C1 to C4) of back shell (3)

Observe unclipping sequence.

Remove right wire clamp (2.2) from bracket (arrow D)

Remove spring frame (2) with lumbar support air cushion (1) and detachable parts

Spring frame (2), lumbar support air cushion (1), driver seat lumbar support pneumatic pump (M25/4) or front passenger seat lumbar support pneumatic pump (M25/5) and driver seat lumbar support adjustment control unit (N32/23) or front passenger seat lumbar support adjustment control unit (N32/24) form a unit and are only exchanged as one.
